I Found You - The Wanted

When it was released that there would be a new single from The Wanted, you could say I couldn't contain my excitement. I was freakin' flipping out because I just couldn't wait for the new masterpiece from them. And through out the early weeks of September tweets, interviews, and rumors fueled my angst and excitement. I mean c'mom when the members themselves tease you with hints and reveal lyrics and titles, you cannot just wait patiently.

Such teases. So when I heard the preview of "I Found You" I was a bit indecisive on what I thought about it. I had mixed emotions of how different it sounded from the rest of their songs. But I could never judge a song on a few second preview, I always have to listen to the full song to truly fall in love with it. So when the song "I Found You" had it's first radio play on Friday (Sept. 7th) I was so excited. and once I listened to the full song a few times I started falling in love with it. It's amazing and different but good different. You can dance to it but it's also deep in a way. It's not just another dance song. I love it's disco-gospel-dance-modern vibe it has. It's such a catchy tune.

I also have to say I love the singles cover art they all look so handsomely sexy. ;) While on my little listening spree of "I Found You" I also encountered a cover by this guy who has an amazing voice! So I'll post it here because it's just that amazing. :)

Isn't it amazing!?! I even want it on my iPod. So heres me enjoying one of my favorite bands new song for about a week,  waiting for it to be available for pre-order, and waiting for the music video they've filmed. And then while waiting at the doctors office for a flu shot I find out that they sung "I Found You" live for the first time in Manila. Of course I immediately plug in my earphones and search for the video, and all the while I'm explaining my excitement to my exasperated mom and sister. But since they are somewhat fans as well they join in on watching the video. And let me tell you it was beautiful and perfect and just asdfghjkl. I had so many emotions and feelings that my mom started whacking me with a magazine and telling me to calm down. I felt so proud of them and the work they've done when I watched the performance. There just wasn't anything for me to say because my freaking out said everything. #TWFanmily #ProudPrisoner. I'll just share the performance for y'all to see.

I know A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I just can't wait for a US tour so that I can go see then already! So I think I'll end it with the lyrics of this stupendous song.

Ciao, Ana

She wants me to come over
I can tell her eyes don't lie
She's calling me in the dark
She moves us where the room around the lights turn like the sky
Confidence like a rock star

I wanna put my hands on her hands
Feel the heat from her skin
Get reckless in the starlight
I'm moving to the beat of her heart
I was so lost until tonight, tonight

I found you, in my darkest hour
I found you, in the pouring rain
I found you, when I was on my knees
And your light brought me back again
Found you in the river of pure emotions
I found you, my only truth
I found you, with the music playing

I was lost til I found you, you, you
Til I found you, you, you

The night is getting older
And I can't come off this high
I don't want this here to end
I know she feels the same
Cause I can see it in her eyes
She says, "Can we start again?"

I wanna put my hands on her hands
Feel the heat from her skin
Get reckless in the starlight
She's moving to the beat of my heart
We were so lost until tonight, tonight

I found you, in my darkest hour
I found you, in the pouring rain
I found you, when I was on my knees
And your light brought me back again
Found you in the river of pure emotions
I found you, my only truth
I found you, with the music playing

I was lost til I found you, you, you
Til I found you, you, you

I said, people
We're all looking for love tonight
But sometimes we can't see it
We run blinded by the light
And we all get lost, all get lost
Searching for that peace of mind
Just when I have given up
Looking for some kind inside

That's when I found you, you, you
I found you, you, you
I found you, you, you
I found you, you, you

I found you, in my darkest hour
I found you, in the pouring rain
I found you, when I was on my knees
And your light brought me back again
Found you in the river of pure emotions
I found you, my only truth
I found you, with the music playing

I was lost til I found you

Busy Quinceanera.

I would like to again say sorry for not updating my blog in a while. With high school and various preparations for something really special, I've been super busy.

When I turned 15 in January I was given an ultimatum about how I wanted to spend my birthday. Since my parents are both from a Mexican background, they asked me if I wanted to have a Quinceanera or a trip to anywhere in the world. And let me say it was a really hard decision. At first, I told my parents that I wanted a trip to anywhere in the world, so I started to think about places I'd love to go to like:

Paris

Mexico

Spain

London

And so on... Theres so many places where I'd love to go to in my life and I was so excited that I would be able to start my travels at such a young age. Then I got talking in my 7th period French I Honors class with another hispanic friend of mine about Mexican tradition, pride, and quinceaneras. As we were talking about decorations and color coordinations and surprise dances, I realized I REALLY wanted a quinceanera with a surprise dance, a big puffy ballroom-princess dress, and everything that comes with it. I wanted it all; the experience of being the one and only quinceanera. And even though I'm not a girly girly girl, I could still appreciate girlish traditions and hobbies, I still loved getting dolled up and wearing make-up.

So when I came back home from school I sat down with my mom and told her I had changed my mind. At first she was a bit indecisive but she decided that if thats what I wanted then thats what I'd get. She did reprimand me on my timing since we only had around 4-5 months to put it all together. I told my dad and he agreed with my decision but he was really beating around the bush. Whenever we'd tried to remind him about it but he wouldn't pay much attention, so months past and the original date we had set was fast approaching and we had nothing, nada, zip done. I was really pissed off but at the same time I was super busy with my high school science fair and stressed out with my grades/classes. No one had time to search and start planning the quinceanera, so we held it off until the last month of school. My quinceanera was being planned for the end of August if possible.

Now here we are, being rushed into getting everything together for just one special day. I'm not going into detail of the preparations for the quinceanera until after or even that same week. But so far so good. We have most of it down and covered, theres just a few things left to do. But every second something else happens and we have to fix it and it's so much stress and you need so much patience for it all. Thankfully we have 5 more years until my sister's quinceanera. I will tell you this my dress is in between the colors of blush-peach-coral and its beautifully elegant and not too extravagant. Lemme tell you I LOVE IT!! I know that it's a lot of work for this one day but it's all going to be worth it in the end.

That's it for now I just wanted to mention why I've been so busy lately. I still have around 3 1/2 more weeks till the party, so wish me luck. :D

All my love,
Ana

P.S. For now enjoy an inspiring Taylor Swift song or visit my Pinterest and find my Quinceanerea board, that's where I put the  inspirational quinceanera related things (including things related to my quinceanera).

The Wanted.

So recently I have grown in love (kinda obsessed actually) with a particular british boy band, and no it's not One Direction (though they're really good too), nope they're called The Wanted.

Hello There ;)
Oh yes, the British Invasion has invaded my senses (and heart) and I have fully (100%) joined the cause to help with support. Now I really love them and their sound; it's a new twist on the traditional boy band. Be sure to check them out they're fantastic. Just look at them!

Like aalfhaskfnaskjfhdskkls. All these feelings!! But you must be thinking "Hmmm... Where have I seen/heard these amazingly talented and extremely gorgeous lads from?" Well these are the guys that bring the beautiful sound of the hit song "Glad You Came" to life, as well as "Chasing the Sun". But this new boy band sensation isn't at all new, they've actually been together as a band for about 3 years. Since 2009, precisely, they've conquered the hearts and ears of many people, including mine ;). And I know what you must be saying that I just like them for their one hit single, but that is so not true! Yes I first found out about them because of "Glad You Came", but I fell in love with them over time and with the ever-growing knowledge of the band and their music. So yes, I love all of their other songs. And yes I know so much about them. And I love them so much to the point where I excessively fangirl about them like non-stop. And no I am not the extreme jealous fangirl type, I try my best respect any of there relationships, I actually get really happy and proud for them (get it in there boys!! ;D). So anyway heres the official music videos for "Glad You Came" and "Chasing the Sun". Enjoy.

Aren't they amazing!?! Yet again I know what you guys are thinking... And the answers NO! They do not lip sync when performing live nor do they dance at all, or at least they don't try to. Even though I've seen they got some rhythm, they don't try to dance most of the times, but of course we all lot fit when they do. And to prove my point heres one of my favorite acoustic radio performances of "Glad You Came", a video/gifs or two of some of their synchronized dancing, and another two videos of them performing live. Enjoy!

Dancing With The Wanted.

Live Baby!

So there you have it! sorry about the video/gif overload, it's just all their videos are perfect. Hopefully you can see the talent and very good looks this band has, if you do then you see and hear what I see. Fair Warning: There will be much more on this band in the future so bear with me :).

And let me make this clear; I don't just like them for their fame, good looks, and rocking tunes but also because of their awesome personalities. How do I know so much about their personalities? Well of course because of interviews, but more importantly because of their weekly flips premiered/debuted every Wednesday, which is also called Wanted Wednesday. Not only do they premier these weekly video diaries of their lives but they personally edit it (thanks to The Wanted member; Jay) and write a mailer/letter that is sent electronically to all subscribed users (Moi and the rest of the TW Fanmily). They also have names for every day of the week: Max Monday, Tom Tuesday, Wanted Wednesday, ThursJay, Fan(mily)/Follow Friday, Siva Saturday, and Sykes Sunday.

Yes they're weird (sometimes), smart (sometimes), stupid (sometimes), witty (sometimes), hilarious (sometimes), and perfect at being imperfect, and everything else they can ever be accused of or described as, but I wouldn't love them and have them any other way. They are normal people just like us, expect for being famous and talented, and you can clearly see that in their interviews, flips, mailers, one-on-one meetings with fans,  and tweets. They are perfectly imperfect creatures and we all love them that way :). We do so much for them because we care and love them, and in return they do all they can to be there for us and be the best and most unique and real band/people in the world. I mean common dedicated band members means dedicated fans! All of this is the least they can do for us.

I am truly overjoyed and really proud of all their achievements, especially cracking America. My life would never have been the same if they hadn't been discovered and shipped over here for a bit. I mean c'mon! They debuted on Ellen, performed on American Idol, The Voice, and The 2012 Music Billboard Awards. They've been Punk'd and featured on so many other shows and channels here in America. It's truly incredible how much they've accomplished in about a year and I'm so proud of them; I'm so proud to be apart of the TW Fanmily and proud to be a prisoner ;). Hopefully you guys like them and get interested in them pretty soon because they're storming up the charts and becoming something uniquely big.

So thats pretty much it for now. I'll write to you guys later.

xoxo,
Ana

P.S. They were also nominated for four categories in the 2012 Teen Choice Awards. So it'd be great if you guys voted for them here ---->> http://teenchoiceawards.com/ It would be greatly appreciated :)

Sorry, I've Been Busy.

I know I haven't written in a long time, but I've been really busy with high school and friends. Let's just say I've had a blast in high school. I got so much more than I expected from my freshman year. I've learned so much and have had such great memories with all my friends; old and new. I have a whole new perspective on my new school and it's safe to say I love my high school. Well that's all for now, I'll be sure to write soon. L8r g8r :)
